With the help of this support, funds were allocated to upgrade the Blackpool Illuminations. Blackpool was one of the first of 101 towns in the UK to secure funding from the Government’s £3.6bn Towns Fund. To mark the event, a ticketed event took place within the Tower Ballroom with KSI, The Wombats, Ella Henderson and Wes Nelson taking to the stage to entertain a 1,500-strong crowd.
